On Sept 30 2008, G3 Sportsman host Scott Turnage caught and released this giant 170 pound Alligator Gar from his 1966 CC on the Trinity River in NE Texas with cut bait carp using an 8ft Shakespeare Powerod, Penn 760L reel, and on 130lb Stren braided line.
